It's been a busy end to the year and a great start to 2012 at Dolia Design with lots going on!

We have recently launched MP Adams Electrical Contracting, Elle Publishing and Sacha's Pamper Lounge.

2012 welcomes some exciting new clients and we are really looking forward to working on a great bunch of new website development projects!

In 2012 we are going to be making some exciting new changes to the web packages and hosting services we offer!

We have started to upgrade our hosting packages which involves things like ensuring we are running the very latest scripts and and online tools so that we can then offer you the latest online technology and services.

For example, those of you who currently have a content managed website running Joomla will be pleased to hear that we will soon be developing in Joomla 1.7 which is the latest version released in 2011. What this means is that it opens up a whole new window of opportunity with how your website can perform, function and managed.

One great new package that we are soon going to be offering is a Mobile Friendly website that will work across various devices such as iPhone, Android and Tablet PC's.

Dolia Design has just launched a website for the LPG Buying Group.

Clients of the LPG Buying Group buy LPG for heating commercial premises and for powering forklift trucks and all enjoy lower LPG prices through the power of bulk buying within the group.

Dolia Design has just launched a website for Sunbeam Cottage B&B.

Roland and Sue welcome you to Sunbeam Cottage Bed & Breakfast, Oakley, Hampshire. Located near Basingstoke with great connections by road and rail, Sunbeam Bed & Breakfast is an ideal place to come and stay whether it be for business or pleasure.

Sunbeam Cottage dates from the 18th Century. It is a Grade II listed property owing to the delightful architectural design of the Octagon Room, now the library, which was once used as a school room.

It is becoming far more common these days to find that there are a lot of so called "web designers" who say they are able to deliver a website but don't provide the full package. I seem to meet more and more people who tell me of a disastrous and expensive experience, with nothing but a half finished website to show for it. Sometimes I just question how a "web designer" is able to pass their work over as completed when there are fundamental web practices missing, from no Title Tags to blank Meta Descriptions on pages.

This brings up the question, "what is a web designer?". For me, the title of a web designer has changed over the past few years. It started off as someone who was able to build a website and hand it over to a client - job done! But now that the web has become a huge platform for online marketing and where competition is forever growing, a web designer now needs to offer more.

Web design has become much more of a marketing plan and therefore needs to include a lot more than just a pretty site - it needs to be able to perform!
