7 things customers want to see on your website

Visitors to your website have chosen to find out more about you and why you're unique. There is a range of features each website should have in order to prevent your visitors jumping straight back off your website!

Contact Details.

Contact details are the most important website features, these should be clear and visible on your website to allow users to contact you with minimal hassle. Your contact details are best placed at the very top of your website, as this will be the very first thing a user will see when they visit your website. Placing your phone number at the top of the website reduces the amount of searching your visitors have to do, making it simple for them to get in contact with your business.

Your Services.

The services you provide to your customers is your main selling point, so it's crucial to have these somewhere easy to find on your website. People will choose to work with your business based on the unique services you can provide, so make sure these stand out and are visible on your site. Once visitors click through to your services, these should be described in detail and provide all the information they would want to find out before jumping in.

Past Work and Projects.

Any potential customers will want to see your previous work and what you’re capable of doing. Not only does this prove your credibility in your industry, but this will also allow you to showcase any past work you are proud of! Understandably not all industries can provide a work portfolio, so an alternative option would be to include your amazing client reviews on your website instead.

Your USP.

Being able to search for businesses online has shown the amount of competition in every business sector. More thought is now needed to make your business stand out from the crowd. Showcasing your USP on your website will help you to stand out and convince visitors to contact you instead of choosing another company.

Clear Call to Actions.

Having the right call to actions on your website can make a difference between a visitor bouncing off your website, or becoming a lead. Call to actions should be placed to direct visitors to look at other pages within your website, not just forcing visitors to go straight to your contact page. It’s important to choose the right call to action, start by creating a call to action to your most popular pages, as this will encourage good user flow through your website.

Your Logo.

Visitors to your website will also be looking to see your company branding. Using your company logo in an obvious place on your website will allow site visitors to identify with your brand and recognise your company. Your logo is a symbol of your business and will be used to recognise you wherever the logo is placed. Ensuring your logo encompasses your brand identity will help with brand recognition and your business credibility.

Intuitive Navigation.

It’s important to not only allow visitors to find what they are after on your website, they should also spend a good amount of time on your website to improve user engagement. Ensuring your navigation is intuitive and clear to understand, will encourage users to investigate throughout the content on your website. This will also help to improve your site's Google rank by giving Google Bots a clear and simple structure to follow.
